Did you know that you can now schedule your posts in Facebook Groups and Pages, Instagram (Business Account), Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Slack, and Tumblr using Canva?

How to Schedule a Post:

From the Canva home page, go to the sidebar and select Content Planner. Choose a time and a date for your post to be published.

Choose a design or make your own.

Confirm the schedule and time you want your post to publish.

Select a platform from the drop-down menu.

Add your caption.

Click Schedule post to finish.

Note: your local time zone will be used in the planner.

If you wish to reschedule or delete posts, you can go back to the content planner, select ••• and you will find the option to reschedule, edit or delete a post.

Text Effects

You can also style your text in Canva! You can curve your text, color it, add shadow, lift, make it hollow, splice it, add echo, glitch, and add a neon effect.

Using a desktop computer to add text effects.

Select the text you want to change by clicking on it. The editor's toolbar will display text formatting options.

Select Effects from the drop-down menu. On the editor's side panel, options will appear.

Select the desired effect by clicking on it. Change the effect's intensity and settings depending on how you want it to be.

Select None from the options to remove the applied effect.

Brand Kit

What is a brand kit?

A brand kit is a concise, easy-to-understand guide to your company's visual identity. It's a quick reference for learning about your brand's logos, colors, fonts, and messaging.

Here are a few essential components to include in your brand kit:

Logo

Although the primary function of a logo is to identify a company, it can also be used to communicate important brand messages and values. Just remember to keep things simple... Ideally, limit yourself to just one main idea.

Color palette

Because the colors you choose visually express your brand's style and look, creating a brand color palette is an important first step in developing your brand identity and presenting it to the world.

Typography

Using a single typeface ensures that your brand is consistent. You can also use your own font to save money on licensing and give your brand a unique look.

Organize Everything with Unlimited Folders

You can also create a folder to organize your designs and media.

From the homepage, click All your Folders.

Click Create new folder from the top corner of the page.

Give your folder a name.

Click Create folder to finish.

Share Your Designs as Templates

You can actually share designs with others as templates.

Create a new design or edit an existing one. From the editor's top corner, click the ••• button

Type "template" into the search bar, and then click Template from the list of results.

Choose the folder you want to share the template with from the dropdown beside Select a folder.

A new folder can also be created.

Select Add.

To finish, click the Publish template.

Canva Pro, Canva for Enterprise, Canva for Education, and Canva for Nonprofits users have access to this feature.

Photo Frames in Elements

Want to add more liveliness to your photos? You can use the Frame feature on Canva!

Go to Canva's elements section

Scroll down to frames or use the search bar to look for frames. You can drag your desired photo into your chosen frame.

Background Remover

Visual impact is certainly everything. Background can be overwhelming and distracting, but it depends on how you use it. Fortunately, Canva Pro makes the once-difficult task of background removal a breeze—all it takes is one click.

From the editor's top corner, click the ••• button

Check the option Transparent Background.

Page Manager

The Canva page manager is a fantastic tool for altering the appearance of your project on your computer screen. You'll find it on the bottom right-hand side of your screen. You can move pages around, duplicate them, and even delete them from here. Just double-click on a page to go back to the full-size version of that page.

Hyperlinks in Canva

Have you ever downloaded a PDF only to discover that the hyperlinks are clickable? Well, Canva allows you to add hyperlinks directly.

Select the element (it can be text, image, or videos) to which you want to add a link by clicking on it. On the toolbar above the editor, click the Link button or the chain icon. Enter the URL of the website and apply the changes.
